چکیده

Background Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) which is a high-blood-flow lesion with connections between arteries and veins without an intervening capillary bed, difficult to manage. The ear the second most common site of extracranial AVM. However, studies regarding management this condition remain lacking. purpose study was share managing experiences in our center investigate treatment effect through retrospective analysis cases. Methods Among 265 patients AVM treated vascular anomalies January 2008 2021, 10 auricular were included distribution, clinical stage, methods by performing evaluation. Results patients, five had AVMs distributed upper half ear, one patient lower four whole respectively. Seven Schobinger stage II, three III. One received surgical only, sclerotherapy both sclerotherapy. posttreatment status checked as controlled two improved seven persistent patient. There no worsening patients. Conclusion Auricular disease that manage specific department, thus requiring collaborative effort from multidisciplinary team. Keywords: / protocol Multidisciplinary communications

Arteriovenous malformation, complications, and perioperative anesthetic management.

Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are the most common intracranial vascular malformation, with an estimated occurrence of 1:5000-1:2000 persons. The repair requires careful embolization, often followed by stereotactic radiosurgery and can also include open craniotomy. Preoperatively, patients may be healthy or dramatically unstable, as 30-50% of these cases present with acute cerebral hemorrha...

Hysteroscopic Management of Uterine Arteriovenous Malformation

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Uterine arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is characterized by shunts between the myometrial arteries and veins. Treatment is based on the severity of uterine bleeding and ranges from conservative medical approaches to embolization of affected arteries. The aim of study was to evaluate the feasibility and safety of hysteroscopy for management of uterine AVM. METHODS Th...

Clinical Significance of Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformation Reperfusion

Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) are abnormal connections of the pulmonary artery to the pulmonary vein, which bypass the normal pulmonary capillary bed.1 This leads to a right-to-left shunt the diameter of the feeding vessel. The normal pulmonary capillary bed measures only 8 to 10 mcm in diameter and serves not only to oxygenate blood but also to filter small thrombi and bacteria...

A 14-year-old boy attended our outpatient clinic with chief complaints of purple swelling and rapidly growing lesion on the glans penis. The lesion was excised surgically after physical and radiological evaluations. Pathology reported AVM and the patient is being f...

A Multicenter Retrospective Study of Frameless Robotic Radiosurgery for Intracranial Arteriovenous Malformation

INTRODUCTION CT-guided, frameless radiosurgery is an alternative treatment to traditional catheter-angiography targeted, frame-based methods for intracranial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Despite the widespread use of frameless radiosurgery for treating intracranial tumors, its use for treating AVM is not-well described. METHODS Patients who completed a course of single fraction radiosu...
